Our organization, College Steps, decided to take the initiative to raise money for The Seeing Eye. We're trying to raise at least $90.00 for their 90th anniversary. We are looking to raise for The Seeing Eye because the volunteers support the breeding, training, and compatiability of the dogs that assist those that are blind and visually impaired. This organization is non-profit and volunteer based that solely relies on donations. We have been inspired by The Seeing Eye because, while the seeing eye gives independence to those that have impaired sight, our group of college step students are able to directly relate as they are able to get support, gain leadership skills, and increase their independence through our program and their peer mentors. College Steps is a program at County College of Morris and it helps students with special disabillates. It also helps special students prepare for the adult life ahead of them. College Steps holds a community class once a week on Mondays where students discuss mindfulness, life skills, and we decided to work together in assisting a cause that we were passionate about. We created this Living For Giving project, that will continue yearly, to show we care, how hard we work, and allow us to do something for others independently. Even one dollar or a singular share to your friends and family can help this cause and help meet our goal. It costs The Seeing Eye $25.00 to provide one official leather leash, $70.00 covers the cost of one day training a dog, $100.00 feeds five puppies for one month, $220.00 provides one offical leather harness, $425.00 provides one full package of dog supplies. Thank you to all that support this amazing cause!
